Wellbeing

The Health and Wellbeing of staff at Surrey Physio is of paramount importance and we pride ourselves on providing a support system for all staff and therapists to ensure this is achieved.

I am thrilled to join the team as the newly appointed Wellbeing Lead. My role is to support, guide, provide advice signpost and a listening ear for all staff covering all aspects of personal and professional wellbeing. As healthcare professionals we often look after others far better than we look after ourselves and so it can be easy to burnout, neglect self care and see a slide in physical and mental health.

A key aim is providing an experienced listening ear and access for staff to feel comfortable to reach out when in need. Using my own substantial experience as a Physiotherapist and dealing with my own anxiety, I have started to work with people as a mentor for support, guidance and signposting to help reduce burnout along with anxiety pressures.

Surrey Physio create an environment for staff that allows them to provide quality care for patients whilst ensuring they have access and support to help manage their own Mental Health & Wellbeing. Our staff Intranet Wellbeing Hub, blogs, 121 confidential catch ups and CPD sessions are just some of the ways we are helping staff to achieve a healthy balance of work and life demands at a time when healthcare professionals are in more demand than ever.

Keep an eye out for further content on wellbeing blogs and articles on our website and SM sites.
