Elizabeth Donnelly (known to us as Lizzy) graduated from Brunel University in 2013. She started her physiotherapy carer in south west London working for St Georges mental health trust. Her role was to work in the community and in the outpatient department. She successfully introduced 2 falls prevention classes which she ran alongside another physiotherapist. Lizzy then wanted to gain more experience working in the MSK outpatient department and worked for Queen Mary’s hospital in Sidcup, she worked closely with podiatrist, rheumatologists and pain specialists. Lizzy also took hydrotherapy classes in the local pool and covered other classes including Pilates.
Outside of work Lizzy is a keen sports woman who plays football for AFC Phoenix and competes in athletics for Herne Hill Harriers. Lizzy’s ambition is to qualify as a Pilate’s instructor with the aim to encourage patients to increase their physical activity and achieve their rehab goals.
