Shakeela is a joint Practice Manager at Croydon Physio - Selsdon responsible for the smooth running and daily operations of our busy clinic. A multi-tasker who juggles between managing staff, implementing processes and procedures to improve operations efficiency, maintaining accounts and invoices and handling patient queries. She is also actively involved in training new and existing staff members, as well as ensuring that all legal obligations are met within the office/clinic.
Having graduated in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Statistics with Business Management; Shakeela worked for 8 years within Corporate Banking. Starting as a Customer Service Officer, she worked her way up to becoming a Deputy Team Manager of a team of 12, and later moved into a Portfolio Management role within The International Specialised Businesses and High Risk Charities sector. Prior to joining The Surrey Physio Group, Shakeela was a full time volunteer at The Citizen Advice Bureau, which she still continues to volunteer for as and when she can.
A self-motivated, committed and highly organised individual with strong banking, customer services, administrative and management background; possessing exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and continuously striving to seek new opportunities to enhance own capabilities. Her key skills and experience includes a demonstrable history of high-standard face-to-face and telephony customer services, outstanding leadership qualities and managing people skills, building and maintaining elite client relationships, effective problem-solving; coupled with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload. A key team player as well as having the ability to work her on own initiative in order to achieve set targets. Highly numerate with impeccable attention to detail and always adaptable to change. She is a great asset to the team.
As a person Shakeela holds a strong moral fibre and believes in treating all with fairness and equality. She is extremely positive, honest and loyal, and with her strong and philosophical nature, her attitude towards life is to move forward and face whatever life throws at her with a smile. Her glass is always half full. She is also someone who is always looking out for the welfare of others and truly believes the more you give the more you gain.
When not at Croydon Physio Shakeela loves to keep active through yoga, Pilates and swimming. She enjoys music and dance, is quite a foodie and loves socialising with her family and friends; especially spending time with her nieces and nephews.
