Chaperones

At Surrey Physio, we are more than happy for patients to have a chaperone attend your treatment. We believe that patients should feel comfortable at all times. If you wish to bring a chaperone, friend or relative in for treatment with you, that is absolutely fine.

We do not conduct any invasive examinations at Surrey Physio, for example, internal examinations. We do not provide any internal treatments. Being a musculoskeletal provider of healthcare, we focus on the joints and bones, and take a holistic approach to health looking at lifestyle, nutrition, sports and activities, and stresses.

We have a chaperone policy that is available on this link.

We’ve also taken steps to train a number of our staff in chaperone training. Ten members of the Surrey Physio team (allowing for a minimum of one chaperone at all our major sites) has received Chaperone Training Level II.

If you would like to have a chaperone present, please inform us at the earliest available opportunity and we will take steps to provide one. In the event that we are unable to provide a chaperone, we may need to rebook your appointment with your agreement.

We also feel it’s important for patients to be aware of our consent policy and you can find more information on consent here.
