Everest Summit – Day 13
Dingboche Rest Day 2
We decided to take 2 rest days following our summit of Island Peak. Dingboche is a comfortable place to stay. It’s high enough (4400m) that you can still remain acclimatised, but big enough as a village with amenities where you can get some decent food.
We had a lazy start, and Dhanu flew the drone. We also took some photos for our sponsors with the lovely backdrop of Dingboche behind.
During lunchtime, we went for a sandwich at Café 4410 again, and also met the first of the Summit Climb team, a chap called Dimitri who was planning to summit Lhotse.
During the evening, we were invited to have dinner with the two lovely sherpa owners of the Bright Star Lodge, Karma and Phubla Sherpa. They did not charge us, and gave us a nice meal and we chatted about business, and the lodge, and growth, and other related things. Karma Sherpa is an entrepreneur and was keen to chat about such things. I would also be keen to help him.
